The annual CDL golf day was held at Meldrum House golf club on Friday 23rd of July. Our unusual ‘run of luck’ with the Scottish weather continued as the sun shone on all participants while they enjoyed an excellent day of Stableford golf on a course which was in near perfect condition. Our thanks go to the green keeping staff at Meldrum for an excellent effort given that the course was actually closed by rain only 3 days before the event.
The event was won by Andy Gray of NCS with an excellent score of 40 Stableford points. Second and third were Gavin Duncan and Dave Bowden on 39 points each.
The average score of all players was a highly impressive 35 points. Next year we are going to ask Meldrum to grow the rough high, take 3 points off all handicaps and play on a windy day!! |
