Inertial Navigation System TOGS/NAV

Inertial Navigation System TOGS/NAV
More Pictures   Brochures
The TOGS/NAV is a leap forward in the provision of an integrated navigation solution for ROV and AUV systems, providing Heading, Attitude, Depth and DVL data in a single compact housing.

At the heart of the unit is CDL`s true north seeking TOGS (Tiny Optical Gyro System) combined with Valeport`s  miniIPS (0.01% accuracy) depth sensor and range of DVL options to complete a powerful tool for subsea navigation.

Importantly the system is also upgradable to full INS (Inertial Navigation System) capability via firmware flash with aiding accept from all standard positioning sources (USBL, LBL, depth, DVL and GPS) transforming the system into powerful INS subsea positioning system.

The TOGS/NAV can also form an integral part of a MWSK (Mid Water Station Keeping) system fusing INS, DVL and USBL to produce highly stable INS aided solution feeding precise position, acceleration and rotation information directly to close loop control system on the ROV/AUV at update rates up to 50Hz. All of this is achieved over an advanced communication protocol that allows all communication and data transfer along the single twisted pair line.

TOGS/NAV is hardware independent and can work with any USBL or LBL system and a variety of topside software package.
